I am Michael K. Knop and I live in Hamburg, Germany. Professionally, I work in Regulatory Affairs and Compliance. Alongside that, I develop digital tools and spend time with topics where small details can make a meaningful practical difference.

Projects and topics

Coffee Rings is one of my own projects and grew out of my espresso workflow. I approach software, AI, smart home systems, Home Assistant and 3D printing in a similar way: I first try to understand what actually fails in daily use before choosing or building a solution.

How I work

What connects these topics is the way I work. I test, document and compare before making a recommendation. When existing solutions do not fit, I create my own tools or workflows.

Photography

Beyond digital and technical projects, I am also interested in form, structure and visual ideas. In photography, I am drawn both to clear architectural order and to small, unexpected scenes and details.
