Coffee Rings is an espresso app for iOS, iPadOS and Android, developed by Michael Knop. It began with a simple question: how can I document espresso shots in a way that helps me make a better decision for the next shot?

Measurements such as dose, brew time and beverage weight are easy to write down. The harder part is understanding which change will actually improve the taste. I wanted to store more than isolated shots: I wanted to make relationships visible and learn from previous extractions.
From personal tool to app
What started as a solution for my own espresso setup became Coffee Rings. The app connects measurements, tasting impressions and concrete next steps. It helps evaluate shots systematically, keep recipes and make changes traceable.
